Now here's a partnership we hope will never end! Kate Middleton was the belle of the ball in a flowy, draped lilac gown by Alexander McQueen. Cap sleeves showed off the Duchess' athletic shoulders while a beaded white belt emphasized her trim waist. The gorgeous gown needed few accessories and Kate kept it simple with earrings, a bejeweled bangle and silver clutch.

Nicole Kidman looked positively radiant in Elie Saab Couture as she took her turn on the red carpet. The beaded column dress complemented the statuesque actress' slim shape while the pale blue contrasted nicely with her red hair. Although relatively simple from the front, the dress had a deep cowl back for added intrigue. We would have loved Nicole's hair up to show off the dress' back detail more, but overall its' a good look for her.

We're always surprised by the drastic difference between Jennifer Garner's casual street style and her uber elegant red carpet looks. She looked stunning in a rich navy YSL gown at the BAFTA event. The one-shouldered dress complemented her skin tone perfectly and skimmed her slim figure. While the dress could have done with the added help of a steamer and without the draping at the hip, it was still a good look for Jennifer overall.

While the rest of her fellow Hollywood stars opted for floor-grazing gowns, Zooey Deschanel was one of the best dressed of the night in a tea length frock by Oscar de la Renta. She looked charming in the blush, silk organza dress with all-over embroidery, scalloped hem and gathered waist. The dress was totally Zooey, but perfect for the event. Bravo!!

Jennifer Lopez didn't dial down the sexy for the BAFTA event, in fact, she turned it up a bit with this daring number by Emilio Pucci. The emerald dress hugged the sultry singer's famous curves and revealed hints of skin with strategically placed cutouts. It was further embellished with a fully beaded sleeve. While Jennifer looked smokin', this look wasn't exactly appropos for welcoming royalty. Just sayin'!

Elisabeth Moss is the underappreciated style star of the Mad Men actresses. Yet she always looks perfectly polished with a refined style all her own. At the BAFTA gala, she looked elegant in an ivory gown by J. Mendel. The spaghetti-straped dress was elegantly draped and accented with a beaded waistband. A Lauren Merkin clutch and Vhernier jewelry finished off the look.

It takes a certain body type to pull off a drop-waist dress, but luckily Cat Deeley has the height and slim build to do it. For the BAFTA gala, she chose an elegant piece from Christian Dior's pre-fall 2011 collection. Cat looked beautiful in the Windsor blue halter gown with lace detailing, and opted against splashy accessories to let the elegant dress do the talking.

Anna Kournikova doesn't frequently make red carpet appearances and it seems the former tennis star might be a bit out of practice. The color of her teal Tadashi Shoji gown was beautiful, as was the elegant draping. But Anna's chunky sandals and high ponytail clashed with her outfit and gave it a casual look more suited for the courts.

We haven't seen much of Maria Bello recently, but she definitely made an impact on this red carpet with a stunning silver number by the queen of draping, Donna Karan. Well, this is one way to get noticed. Dana Delaney tried her hardest to be fashion-forward with a runway look by Prada. Unfortunately, this wasn't fashion week, but a red carpet event with royals attending. The strapless baroque print dress looked quite out of place amongst the other elegant gowns, especially since it was paired with a striped fur stole—Fur. In July. Really.—and striped clutch.
