Through the Years: Angelina Jolie

.Angelina. Angie. Ange. By any name, an exquisite, Oscar-winning actress, a timeless beauty, a doting mother, a loyal partner, and a diehard humanitarian (she is Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.).She’s come a long way, and through the years, we’ve known Angelina Jolie as peculiar (she and her ex Billy Bob Thornton wore vials of each other’s blood around their necks), versatile, outspoken, emotional, personable and charming. (She’s also been called the most beautiful — and sexiest — woman in the world and is one of the most in-demand and highest paid actresses.).She’s as known for her acting talent as she is her undeniable beauty (those LIPS!), charm, and very public personal life with Brad Pitt and their brood of a zillion children..Now, on the eve of the release of In the Land of Blood and Honey, which she directed and wrote, we thought we’d take a look back at Angelina’s life and career..
She ended up graduating from Beverly Hills High and returned to her theater studies, but the troubled young actress and model had bouts of suicidal depression and cutting in her late teens and early twenties — which she now discusses openly..“The reason I talked about going through certain pains of even cutting myself is that I was already out the other side,” Contactmusic quoted her, as saying. “I knew there were people who did that, and were happy somebody admitted they did and discussed how they got out of it. I don’t see the point of doing an interview unless you’re going to share the things you learn in life and the mistakes you make. So to admit I’m extremely human and have done some dark things, I don’t think makes me unusual or unusually dark. I think it is the righ
She was cast in the HBO film “Gia,” which was the tragic story of the late supermodel Gia Carangi. The film garnered critical acclaim and Angelina won Golden Globe and SAG Awards for her role..Her role as Gia caught the attention of the public and Hollywood, and Angelina landed the role as Lisa Rowe in Girl, Interrupted opposite Winona Ryder.
The pair now have three adopted children, Maddox, Pax, and Zahara, and three biological children, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne.
… and continues to grab headlines with Brad. They are, indeed, one of the most famous (and best looking!) couples in the world..In the Land of Blood and Honey is her Angelina’s upcoming film — it’ll be released on December 23rd — and is a love story set against the background of the Bosnian War in 1992..It is also Angelina’s directorial debut (she wrote it as well) … and is getting Oscar buzz even before its release..“I still think it’s crazy … I think I’d be terrible with a comedy,” she recently told 60 Minutes of tackling the tough topics in her film. “Everything was something to be careful about and sensitive.” .“I am nervous that people are not going to understand it,” she continued. “I prefer directing. I love having the spotlight on someone else … It’s nice for all of that not to matter.” .So … what’s next for this eclectic, rather brilliant superstar? It’s anyone’s guess. It doesn’t seem like marriage is on the horizon (Brad and Angelina have said they’ll marry when “everyone can.”) But the couple has indicated they want more (!) kids. And Angelina says she is very thankful to Brad.Angelina Jolie Interview 2011 - UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador. The entire history of Brad and Angelina's love
