Zune won't be able to play iTunes/FairPlay content because all this software by Dvd John does is let others ENCODE their content with FairPlay DRM, not DECODE.
Decoding is illegal but providing an alternative encoding is murky and there is history that suggests it's legal (Compaq's IBM PC clone).
So this only hurts the iTunes store not the iPod. It's also easy enough for Real to license this technology and provide a front end to their own store that then downloads the files to your computer and tells iTunes where they are so you can just open up iTunes and drag them to your iPod from a Real smart list (much the way LimeWire adds its own Smart List to your iTunes playlists side bar).

Really VictoriaStudent, lol I agree with BForstal on what people would do in the same situation 100 percent, and I'm not trying to brag about anything, and I cant even believe this thread has reached 3 pages. Sec I have no reason to troll!!! I have been a member of this forum since and even though I have never really posted anything I have found wealth of knowledge over the years from people in these forums. Wow and you cannot judge a person's character by a mistake a cashier made in a store!!! Like I said everybody is entitled to there own opinion, If you were to make note of the mistake to the store if it happened to you and it makes you feel so highly above any one else, more power to you. Were this true, you would realize that there are fifty states each with their own crimes and with unique elements of those crimes. It would be difficult to make a blanket statement that OP committed "retail theft."

I spend at least 98% of my time in AT&T 3G coverage areas. While Verizon's coverage map may look impressive with their sea of red, they seem to be forgetting that dirt can't use 3G.

You can use it with 2GB but it is not a very good experience, even with a just handful of Apps open.
It's WAY too early to judge Lion's memory consumption. In my experience, only the final GM build (unsurprisingly) has ever had even a remotely similar memory profile to the final product experience.

I am pretty sure Apple has to refresh its iPod line for holiday sales or it is bye-bye stock prices and holiday sales.
The question is what will or can they do by november 14th. And it is very unlikely that it will be large video iPod. Heck, Zune has the same resolution as the iPod and i am not sure what the big deal is. It is not like adding 1" or 2" will make it all the better.

well sometimes there is an article about different kind of processor, chips or whatever. some stuff that I don't know anything about. So then I like to look at the votes and see if this is something that is good or bad for Apple. I like to think that majority of the people voting have the same love of apple products and have more insight on this issue than I do.
But it's still highly opinion-based. I think the rating should be based on something other than whether or not I like the poster or what he/she has to say. Something more like, how helpful or constructive was this post?
I still think the "thanks" system like at RedFlagDeals.com is a better representation of what a good "point" system looks like. Certain people are very helpful in answering other people's questions or providing useful information. When someone answers your question or provides a technical explanation (or even a snappy comeback or an informed opinion) that people find insightful, they can "thank" the user for the post. Everyone who sees the post then can quickly see that this post has been helpful to others ("6 people thanked Mad Mac Maniac for this post"). And the cumulative total stays with the user, so you can also see at a quick glance that this user has a reputation for being helpful ("Mad Mac Maniac has been thanked 4,134 times.")

This is standard practice by their SOP (Standard operating platform) according to company policy. I know, because I used to work at Best Buy. Trust me, there are a lot of other shady things that happen when they say they "hold" for the Sunday ad. Things such as holding the product for friends and family and using the EPPI application. Although, the iPad is already at Cost, so there is really no discount on the product but rather for the accessories.
Just buy online and not through Best Buy. I refuse to buy anything from Best Buy because of their ethics and practices.

I don't know about "candid", but "open" as in "dialogue" certainly describes the way in which Microsoft, Dell, IBM and several other enterprise elephants communicate with their (enterprise) customers. It's mandatory for their business.
