Taylor Swift lands her first Vogue cover!

I am pretty sure that scoring your very own Vogue cover means you're no longer playing in the minor leagues. This could be said of Taylor Swift, who has just landed her very first-ever cover for the fashion bible.

With her trademark blonde hair hiding under an oversized floppy hat, the teen music star looks fresh-faced and bright-eyed for her turn on the February cover of US Vogue. Photographed by Mario Testino, Taylor appears in an article and photo-shoot titled "The Single Life," in which she discusses "fame, ambition, and the joys of being on her own."

As a world famous 22-year-old, I can't imagine that her life would be too lonely, nevertheless the magazine has done a decent job on Swift's image. Recasting her as a hippie, bohemian, Stevie Nicks-type. Sporting a new 'do consisting of a heavy fringe and straightened locks, Taylor poses in a series of Seventies-inspired pieces from Rodarte's Spring/Summer 2012 collection.

Another contender for best dressed at the Met Gala - Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift's nude and black J. Mendel couture gown is certainly a far cry from the sweet girlie dresses the singer seems to favor. It's even head and shoulders above her more fashionable red carpet moments to date! This is definitely going to be one of the looks of the evening. It manages to capture the drama of the event without going overboard or looking too costumy - which more than one star is guilty of tonight
