I think at this point it would be a terrible move not to do some sort of redesign to the 4. It at bare minimum needs a bigger screen and I am sure it will already have more ram and the A5 if not dual A5's. So really, what's the point of releasing another iphone if all your gonna do is change the processor and ram? The phone is not sluggish or anything now so why even waste the time? I think it would be a bad move to not move up with the screen size, at least to 4 inches.
The question is how many people want to have a bigger phone? I don't know if it will be bigger or not but I don't think a bigger sized phone is a always a good idea. Not saying a small increase in screen size (not resolution) will not happen I just don't want my iPhone becoming an iPad mini!
FYI the A5 CPU is already dual core chip, so I think there is no way the iPhone 5 will be a dual A5 (making it a Quad core CPU) for a mobile phone. I don't think the vastly smaller battery in the phone compared to the iPad could handle it!

Completely misleading. iPad runs a mobile OS that's much less CPU intensive. The iPad is not five times slower in performing everyday tasks like web browsing, e-mail, word processing, etc.

I believe I saw an EFI update that addressed issues with fans, check the apple support site, it may be what you need.

I can't believe AT&T still won't unlock iPhones: In the UK, O2 will unlock anyone's contract phone for free (you just need to ask), and a PAYG one for 15 (plus the loss of the free web bolt on you get for the first 12 months).AT&T still is the exclusive GSM carrier in this country. Nobody knows how long this exclusivity will last. Since AT&T purchased T-Mobile, AT&T has no motivation to unlock the phone. Since our politicians have been bought off by lobbyists from Verizon, AT&T, etc., there's no motivation to advance our interests.
Jailbreaking doesn't unlock it and many iPhone 4's cannot currently be exploit unlocked.+1 Too many ignorant people don't understand that jb is dependent on the iOS, while unlocking is dependent on the baseband.

The NX bit in AMD K8 CPUs and Execute Disable bit in Intel CPUs are there to prevent buffer overflow exploits.

I think it's also highly suspect that Bill Gates worked harder for his second $10 billion than his first.
Cap substantial income at $1Million per year. Plow the rest back into community. It would keep people semi-grounded in reality. You can be smart, you can do good things. The reward does not have to be monetary does it?
Premise: Capping income as described above would DESTROY the entrepreneur spirit. True or False? What is it that motivates human beings??

I've always found the Enkoder Form (http://automaticlabs.com/products/enkoderform/) to ward off spammers the best.
Rock on, I just downloaded that app. The advice I posted was intended to be platform independent, because not everyone is as lucky as us to be rockin' macs ;)

Apple makes nice money off every iOS devices they sell. With App store, iTunes store and iBook store, their Software and hardware sales will grow.
Their MBA sales are growing and those devices aren't cheap.
Apple is going to soon have more than 100 billion dollars in their backyard.
Btw, Apple is going to blow away on next Quarter as long as they can launch iPhone 5 on both AT&T and Verizon. Doubt that they will put LTE chip inside, but it will be available on two of the biggest networks in the US. This will not stop.
People will pay good money for good sh**! I do. My jcrew giant fit chinos cost $65.00 a pair now. Up from $59.50. But they are well made with an awesome fit. Same for my New Balance 1223s.
And I like that Apple is slow growing. I see that as self preservation. The pc industry is glutted with crap beyond trash. $99.99 pc in Target.LOL! There is no more value in the pc. That game is essentially over.
Now, just let your imagination soar with the idea of an Apple branded smart HD TV with an app store, ipad 3, iphone 5 and a messaging app for the ipad that rivals MS messenger. OMFG!!!!!

a switch is basically like a power strip for ethernet, granted it has some electronics in it, but for the user, the use is pretty much the same.

Well this is going to have to happen sooner or later because of the massive share Apple has of the MP3 player market. It's only a matter of time before they become a monopoly in this area and be forced to allow other stores to sell music downloads for the iPod.
Although I personally hope that some online stores use DVDJon's tec to sell HD music to people. I would love to be able to buy 24bit/5.1 lossless compressed music online.
I know the current iPods wouldn't be able to take full advantage of it at this point, but in the future, they will.

My Mac never sleeps, but I do experience the static problem when the Mac causes the displays to sleep. Simply turning the display off then back on fixes it without having to do anything with the Mac.
Thats essentially what i suggested, it cuts video signal to any of the displays by pressing SHIFT CONTROL EJECT at once, and usually resolves and sort of static issues as its equivalently like powering down and up the displays.

Does your iMac have a CD-burner? Ejection is the normal behaviour of a CD-ROM-only drive when blank writable media is inserted.

The real deal on resolution independance, is that instead of the UI being made up of images, PDFs I believe, it will be drawn using vectors. so a OS can scale anything to any size, and it will never become pixalized, because it's being drawn fresh using math instead of images.
