There used to be a chain of stores that let you listen to any CD in the store so you could see if you liked it. Not sure if there are any that still do that.

I gave up using Aperture to manage facebook and flickr images. It was way too slow, and I sometimes had Aperture delete a picture on Flickr after I did some more edits. I'd lose all the comments and favorites it had attached to it, which are part of the fun of posting there. I went back to manually uploading using the Flickr upload program.
Exactly why I use Lightroom 3 for this and not the half azz'd implementation employed by Apple.

There are only two name choices for the next iPhone: iPhone 4G or iPhone 5. There will be no more naming games. The only reason they ever diverted from numbering conventions was because of confusion over the 3G being the iPhone 2.
The iPad 2 was a minor update. But they didn't call it the iPad s or something else equally lame. Every iPhone will have a number until Apple gives up on that completely and just goes with "the all new iPhone" or "the all new 2011 iPhone" like they do with their desktops and notebooks.
Sooner or later, the "g" will sound like an inferior upgrade. It will give people the impression of it being a .5 upgrade. Everybody will wait for a proper number sequel.

I can't really remember this happening before, but F@H has been trying for more than 12 hours now to download a new core (to me). I keep getting:
Error: HTTP GET returned error code 404
on every attempt to download the core. I've already tried kill the "fah5" process and starting it again, which did start the download attempts anew, but still no joy. Seems odd to be given a WU when the corresponding core seems to be unavailable. Any suggestions on how to proceed?

ICO HD + SoTC HD + The Last Guardian + Project Dark(Demon's Souls spiritual successor) = More win than the brain can sustain.
Add trophies to the mix and this just became yum yum.

I would personally be pleased if trophies and achievements were dropped. At the minimum, don't pop up on the screen that I got one. It bring me out of the experience.
I hear a few games are actually more helpful with 3D from what I read GT 5 utilizes it like you can see a little better who's behind you etc and NBA 2k11 shows of pretty well especially during replays.
3d wouldn't necessarily help to see who is behind you. It has the possibility to help you see how far behind you they are.... I really doubt it will make ANY game better. It sure didn't make Nintendo's Virtual boy good :-D

Hi, I will not be camping out, however I am disabled and wonder if their nwill be a (special Line) for people that have disabled (PLACARDS). Also, does anyone know how long the pre reservation lines will be and how fast they will move, base on like (person #43) who is in line? Also, my reservation says 7 am, but could there be like a 1000 customers in the reservation line at 7 am? I'm just trying to get a (CLEAR UNDERSTANDING) of how long I will be in line because of my disability. Please let me know from past experiance.

But they said they would be more than happy to help you any way they could. The mall is not going to let us line up until like 5am. In the past when apple opens the doors the lines are fairly long. I have seen them stretch all the way from the apple store down towards Macy's. I'd say at 7am there will be at least 50 non reservation people in line and more than that in the reservation line. I cant really speculate how fast the line will move since the farthest back i have ever been in line was 8. My suggestion would be to have someone wait in line for you and then when the store is about to open go meet up with them. Good luck. Lets us know how it went. :-)

This feature needs a iTunes like integration to really take off and i think Apple is in the best position to pull this off. iPhoto can be made to work with all GPS enabled camera's and why not a PC version, Apple only needs a business model to make this step and the iPhone can be it.

Things that happen when you downgrade your video with something less capable just because of some fan noise on a 7800. Your perfectly good 7800 should have been left right where it was.

That seems like a really cool program, especially if you are looking to create a gif from your favourite TV show, or something.
What are you wanting to do with the program, though? Because you could always pause the movie or video you are trying to cap from and press control+shift+4, this brings up a box which makes a cap of only the parts of the image that are selected, and conveniently saves it to your desktop.
I understand if you are trying something a little more complex, though, that this would be a tedious and inappropriate way of going about it. :)

Out of Applecare so that's not an option. May just upgrade the card anyways to the 5770. Maybe even upgrade some RAM while I'm at it. Probably cheaper than leaving my Mac Pro with an Apple Store Genius and having them tell me to replace one or the other anyway.

This feature isn't supported in OSX.
If you use the column view method from the finder then you will be able to play all your sound files (including downloaded wav files) as easily as if you double clicked them in OS9. It's just a different way of doing it.
