For this season’s collection from Imitation of Christ, creator Tara Subkoff collaborated with talented bespoke tailors Amber Doyle and Jake Mueser of Against Nature Atelier to design what Subkoff calls “sexy and powerful masculine/feminine suits and dresses.” The collection is delightful enough on its own, but the fair flora and fluttering fauna alongside the beautiful pieces had us all swooning.

The concept for a magic show as part of the line’s presentation this year “felt like a perfect idea,” says Subkoff. “We wanted to celebrate the alchemy of Imitation of Christ’s classic Hollywood glamour and combine that with Amber and Jake’s definitive tailoring details. I also felt like we could all use a bit of magic, and to possess a sense of appreciation for the charm of the unexpected. Plus I love putting a smile on everyone’s very serious fashion faces; it’s nice to have a laugh.” We couldn’t agree with you more, Tara.
